The location was perfect but the breakfast was the same and they shoot you out exactly at 10:00!!
The rooms are clean, The staff, from reception, housekeeping, restaurant îs very profesional and friendly.
It's very good hotel if we include price to quality. Just for 35€ for night in January 2023. Very close to city centre, supermarket just 20 meters away, lots of restaurant and other stores just the corner. Wifi works fine. Parking if have a car (just for few cars but it's available). Breakfast included in price.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast with a ton of options. The rooms can be improved a bit, especially the bed could have been newer, but the rooms were immaculately clean.
Great location for our futsal tournament. Overall 4*. Rooms are basic but cleaning is excellent. Fridge in the room. Good A/C. Decent Satellite range of Satellite channels. Overall staff were friendly but perhaps one could have been a bit less confrontational upon arrival. The room has a security safe but is quite small plus €5 charge. No option to upgrade the WiFi which was slow although free. Limited range at breakfast but all very edible. Decent coffee. Bonus to have a Swimming Pool on the roof with fantastic views of Funchal.
Location, location, location!!! Rooftop pool AND excellent water pressure. Reception and cleaning super friendly. I sensed a power struggle with breakfast waiters speaking of, that’s a bleak affair. If they opened the curtains and moved the food to the front window allowing a street view it would be so much better. Simple fix. The set menu sounded great and was a brilliant price but so lacking in any kind of atmosphere I never tried it. The room was old and beds not great but it had wifi and I slept so can’t complain. Overall I liked it here and would book to come - lucky me, it was an upgrade from the hotel I’d booked - Greco.
Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Located right in the centre so easy to get to everything. I had a rental car and was able to park in the hotel parking for a fee which made us super easy to pop in and out and not have to worry about finding street parking. Rooms were basic but did the job as I didn’t spend much time at the hotel. Thanks for a great stay!
Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Yes it's a little dated but we liked it and it had character. There's a small pool on the roof. It has a small lounge and restaurant on the ground floor. They do a good value lunch menu but unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. It was only 11 euros for 2 courses and a glass of wine. We had a strange noise in our room which buzzed every few minutes but we couldn't find the source. Take earplugs as a precaution! Bathroom in the room was lovely. There was air-conditioning, and it was hot at night, but we preferred to leave the window open as there aren't any mosquitoes! Staff were always friendly and helpful. Place was clean and tidy. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful with homemade cake and local bananas, as well as hot food options. Would stay again.
